Amberite gaze was narrowed in confusion. It had been three days, since seeing his mother in the clearing in the forest, he was so confused, how had she come back? "..How..How can my mother be back?" he murmured quietly, scratching at his head, and flicking Myouga off.

Master Inuyasha must you be so harsh with me?! The tiny flea-demon demanded, hopping back onto Inuyasha's shoulder.
The lord's woman is back?

Inuyasha growled "That WOMAN is my mother you stupid flea" He said, and, plucking Myouga from his shoulder, a satisfying squish was heard and Myouga floated to the ground "If you can help it..don't bug me right now" He growled at the flea and Myouga sighed, and sat in the vast forest of grass. Inuyasha sighed, randomly plucking strands of grass out from the ground with his claws. "I'm bored.." He grumped.

Izayoi stood by the open ricepaper doors and watched her son, who sat in the grass with a slightly confused and then a somewahat annoyed expression. A loving smile curved her lips and a mother's unconditional love filled her eyes like a warm inner ligh.
But at her son's movements an intense wave of sadness and grief suddenly washed over her.

In her minds eyes her sons figure suddenly changed to that of a tall demonmale with beautiful silvery hair that he held together with a leatherstrip. He was dressed in fine white silk and adorned in heavy armor.
His movements and the frown of annoyane on his expression so much the same.

The first time Izayoi had watched the display, she had been confused. She saw his annoyance and that he spoke to someone...someone she could not see.
It was that day that Izayoi for the first time met Meyoga the fleademon and friend of her beloved.

At first she had been a bit shocked at the sight of the little flea demon, but soon found out that he was actualy a rather delightful little fellow with a big heart.
Later that evening as they sat together and ate an evening meal, the irony and humor of the situation suddenly hit her. It caused her to nearly drop her chopsticks, but still caused the chunk of fried pork to fall with an soft plop back into her bowl. Her other hand immidiatly reached up to cover her mouth to hold back the burst of laughter.

Her beloved lifted his gaze to her, his bushy black eyebrows drawing together in a slight frown, wondering what had gotten into Izayoi. His eyes asking the question his lips did not.
Trying to calm her laughter, the young woman giggled.

"I just realized something"

She finally brough out, to which the doglord simply raised one eyebrow in question.

"When i was a little girl my nursemaid told me something"

Izayoi...enjoying this moment immensly wanted to add to the humor. So she took a deep breath to take on a serious expression and raised on hand, with her indexfinger pointed up, as if she was about to lecture someone. Her voice took on a deeper tone to try copy that of the older woman.

"My child, always remember. Every dog, no matter how clean...has fleas"

The words were barely out when Izayoi burst into peals of laughter once again. Inu no Taisho had just looked at her, speechless for a moment, while the corners of his lips twitched in his attempt not to laugh.

"Izayoi...eat"

He finally managed in a voice laced with laughter.

As Izayoi now stood at the door and watched her son, she laughed softly at that cherished memory, while tears of grief filled her eyes and slowly trickled down her cheeks. How she missed her beloved demonlord.

Silky white ears twitched at the sound of a laugh. How he had missed that laughter. But..could it really be her? He was so confused, even now "Myoga..check to see if that is my mother" He murmured to the flea, who, immediately hopped onto InuYasha's head and the small being smiled .
Indeed it is Myoga reported.

"..Alright....." Inuyasha hesitated "..Thank you.."

Myoga blinked. Lord Inuyasha..had just thanked him. A gleeful smile appeared on the Flea's face and Inuyasha growled "Don't think I'm gonna say it again..ever.." He said sharply, and, standing, he turned. Amber gaze lit with both shock and happiness. Taking a step forewards, a breeze gently lifted his hair, fluttering it about his face gently. He took another step. Then, his composure broke, and he raced forewards, hugging Izayoi. He had missed his mother terribly. "..How.." His voice cracked and he stepped back, quickly wiping the tears away. He couldn't allow himself to be seen crying. It just..wasn't demonic..or manly, for that matter. "..How..How can you be back?" He asked quietly, his amber gaze wide, and shimmering with unshed tears. Her scent invaded his nose, and his ears twitched. "..I've missed you a lot..Mother..." this statement was nearly a whisper, as if he was scared it was merely an illusion and she would be swept away by his voice.
